The biggest paradigm shift since the wheel · A New Era of Movement
Two centuries of incremental iteration have left us with a planet-wide machine. consuming more than it moves. It is time for a complete reimagining.
See the problem
The end of friction is the beginning of everything.
Every modern economy depends on moving people and goods efficiently. But every existing solution carries a catastrophic overhead that we have simply accepted as normal.
Roads, rail, tunnels and bridges consume trillions every year — before a single passenger or kilogram of cargo moves. The network itself is the product's largest cost.
A typical freight truck converts only 8% of its fuel energy into actually moving the payload. The rest is lost to drag, rolling resistance, engine heat, and idle weight.
Transportation is the single largest source of greenhouse gas emissions globally. Electrifying the existing infrastructure only moves the problem upstream.
In many cities, nearly half of all urban land is devoted to roads and parking — land that generates no economic value, destroys ecosystems, and accelerates urban heat.
Every road fatality traces back to the same root causes: a distracted driver, an intoxicated driver, a fatigued driver, a mechanical failure. Hyperpult has no driver. No steering wheel, no brake pedal, no one who had one drink too many. No engine that can seize, no tyre that can blow at speed. The causes of 94% of road accidents simply do not exist in the system.
"We are not suffering from a lack of technology.
We are suffering from a lack of imagination."
The breakthrough
No vehicle to maintain. No idle fuel burn. No empty return trips. No infrastructure decay. Just pure, directed kinetic energy applied exactly where it is needed.
Hyperpult replaces the vehicle fleet with a distributed network of precision electromagnetic catapults. Cargo is loaded, accelerated to speed, and released into free ballistic flight — guided by physics alone to their destination.
Regenerative energy is stored in supercapacitor banks, then discharged in a controlled burst to accelerate the cargo to cruise speed within seconds. Energy is captured on arrival and fed back into the grid.
Once launched, the cargo follows a precision-calculated ballistic arc through open air — no track, no tube, no rolling contact. Aerodynamic shaping keeps drag minimal across the entire flight envelope.
There is no heavy engine, no fuel tank, no driver, no return journey cost. Energy per tonne-kilometre drops by an order of magnitude versus any alternative.
The network is designed from day one for 100% renewable input. Grid energy — primarily solar, wind, and hydro — is the only fuel required. No combustion anywhere in the system.
Renewable energy from the local grid charges supercapacitor banks at each launch node over minutes or hours — smoothing out supply variability and enabling fully off-peak charging.
The pult is loaded with cargo or passengers at the catapult station. Flight trajectory and landing parameters are computed and uplinked in real time — a process that takes under 90 seconds per launch window.
The electromagnetic catapult fires. The cargo accelerates to between 600 and 1200 km/h in under 4 seconds, riding on a magnetic cushion that eliminates contact and mechanical wear entirely.
The cargo coasts through its ballistic arc with negligible energy expenditure. On approach, a regenerative deceleration system converts kinetic energy back to electricity — capturing up to 85% of the launch energy for the next cycle.
Our roadmap begins with a 50km pilot corridor in 2026, scaling to intercity freight links by 2028 and passenger-capable transcontinental routes by 2031. We are not building a prototype. We are building the replacement.
